In a third generation nuclear power plant design, in order to meet the security requirements, the safety injection pumps of safety injection system needs to set up a variety of heat sink to meet cooling requirements under different conditions. Analyses the available heat sink in nuclear power plants for safety injection pump motor, discusses the feasibility of a number of improvement measures on the basis of the electrical building chilled water system design in order to meet the cooling need of safety injection pump motor under the loss of final heat sink(H1) condition. The analysis results show that aircooled chiller of the electrical building chilled water system can provide chilled water for safety injection pump motor under H1 condition, to meet the functional requirements of heat sink diversification for the safety injection pump motor and improve the reliability of safety injection system.
